   Captain Lance G. Magnusen has been involved in the fishing industry since 1973. “At 13 years old I started handlining cod out of Chatham, Mass. I moved on to longlining, scalloping, gill netting, and fish trawling. I attended U.R.I.’s Commercial Fishing and Marine Technology school studying all aspects of the industry. For the next 10yrs I lobstered and ran a trawler. I then returned to URI and received a teaching degree in General Science. For the last 18yrs I have taught science and sport fished every summer around the RI coast. I still fish every day I can”.

   Treat your family, clients, or employees to an extraordinary day on the water. Arrangements can be made for Lunch, Dinner, and cocktails. You can design your trip from offshore fishing to a Narragansett Bay Cruise and dinner at Newport, Wickford, or Block Island. Nothing beats cruising as the sun sets.

About the Boat.

The Valkyrie is a 27' Albin Sportfish with Diesel Power. It cruises along nicely with a great ride and with only one engine can troll very slowly to catch those stripers. Equipped for inshore and offshore fishing. We can take a maximum of 4 passengers.

Rates Subject To Change, i.e. gas prices.

Both Inshore and offshore trips are available. We`ll supply the bait, tackle and instruction. When the trip is over we`ll fillet and bag your catch. Target species, Striped bass, Sea Bass, Blues, Tautog (Blackfish), Fluke, Tuna, Shark. Loss of equipment (i.e. rod and reel) is the responsibility of the angler who will be charged accordingly.

A deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve your date. Deposit must be received within 10 days from the day your trip is booked. Balance may be paid by check up to seven days prior to sailing. No checks will be accepted on the day of the trip.

Cancellations.
Cancellations due to weather, rough seas, mechanical defect or other conditions will be made at the dock by the Captain. We will attempt to reschedule a new date for you or return your deposit. A full refund will be returned if cancellation is made by the client via phone or mail no less than 10 days prior to the date of charter. Any other cancellations will forfeit their deposit if the date cannot be rebooked.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?

Sneakers or boat shoes.
Windbreaker / foul weather gear/ Hat.
Food & Drink (no hard liquor).
Camera, Sunglasses, Sun block.
Large Zip Lock Bags for your fish or an extra cooler.

TEND TO GET SICK? TAKE DRAMAMINE OR BONNINE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND 2HRS BEFORE THE TRIP.

AVOID ALCOHOL PRIOR TO SAILING.
